Today was going to be our toughest day; we knew this. We also knew that we were quick enough to do this.

Our start got us the usual result, whistles as we came out around 42... Yeah Buddy. We closed the distance steadily, getting to three whistles after first post. Coming into Grassy, we closed the gap, at one point to nothing. We'd made up the 1 and a half lengths. But Robinson put in a push... gaining a foot. We came out of Grassy still around a foot off their stern; another push from Robinson gave them back canvas. The race proceeded in this fashion, push after push from Robinson giving them back their distance; we made them work hard to get to the end of the course, working hard ourselves. Every one of us in that boat gave it absolutely everything today. Matt's lines were superb. Tomorrow, we go out and execute our race plan a little more cleanly against whoever we're facing. Tomorrow we get to earn our chance to race in the first division. Let's take it.
