Gutsy row from Selwyn
After a very unlucky week (without St Edmunds and ARU I'm sure we would have been able to show what we were properly capable of) we set off looking at a row-over.
After another good start (though not our best), we quickly gained a whistle on St Edmunds. It was very encouraging to watch Robinson 2 almost plough into the bank off the start, and from then on we knew that it was unlikely they would catch us. Unfortunately ARU bumped out near Grassy meaning we were facing a row-over. Maintaining station through the corners, the reach saw us push well away from Robinson. There was a huge push from the motorway bridge, and according to our excellent coach Rosalie, we were as near to St Edmunds as we were to Robinson 2. If only the course had been long enough....! A great end to an unlucky, but very encouraging week... bring on May Bumps!!
